Best Damn Golf Cart Period

My wife loves it. And I am so impressed with a great product right out of the box. No hassle setting up although my wife being blonde still thinks the bottom is the top and vice versa still makes me laugh when she breaks it down, anyway, I WANT ONE TOO!

I am not one that likes to walk a golf course. But I descided that maybe I should start for exercise purposes.
I bought the Clicgear becasue of its small footprint when folded and it’s quaity. Many reviews said that it is difficult to fold/unfold. Not true!
I saw one in the store and was able to unfold it in about 30 seconds without reading any instructions. There are two handles that say “Push” and “Pull” and a couple of levers. How difficult is that to figure out?
Also, it is a good idea to watch the video that you receive with the unit. This shows an even simpler way to unfold/fold. It also shows some features that you may not be aware of.
The unit itself was used, the first time, in the rain(naturally). It performed flawlessly. I did not find it difficult at all to push through wet rough and down the fairway was effortless. I kept my scorecard in the container and it stayed dry for the whole round.
A couple of points to make. 1) Be careful if playing in the rain as the foam covered handle gets wet (acts like a sponge) and if you push the cart with your glove hand, the glove will get wet. 2)Some say the brake lever is hard. What I found was that, sometimes, you will pull the lever and it seems stuck. Just move the cart a little and it will pull easily.
3)Get the wheel bag kit! When I put the cart in the car, because of the rain, the wheels had a lot of wet grass on them. The bag would have saved me a lot of cleaning of the car.
4)Just nit-picking here. A pivoting front wheel would make following a curved cart path or turning in general easier. But I quess that would have added too much to the cost.
Conclusion: Great product. Easy to push. Great features.

This cart is so easy to use and so compact. I basically just guide mine on the golf course with three fingers. Of course, on hills I have to push or pull just a little. Well worth $200.

Only used the cart for 9 holes and really like it. Bought two, one for me and one for the wife. She seems to like it and we love the ease of pushing the cart. However, if the wheels were thinner it might be easier to push. Nice accessories and really like the velcro glove hanger. The compartment is nice and really holds everything i need to put in it. I use a stand bag and have no problems with it staying secure and i was suprised that it held so well. The stand bag doesnt move around at all. Great product and would have given five stars, but thought if the wheels were thinner, it might be the perfect push cart.

The clicgear is light wieght and fits in my 2 door honda civic trunk with two golf bags and room to spare. Great Design, effortless to push. only con is that i would like a bit larger cup holder. Though it does fit a 12oz bottle or can very snuggly. so it has that going for it.

A superior product

I have owned the Clicgear 2.0 only about a month. It is everything the Clicgear people claim. You wouldn’t think that pushing your golf clubs vs. pulling would make that much of a difference, but it does. After a few tries, it is really very easy to fold and unfold in what amounts to one motion, just like the video. I have a friend who has the Sun Mountain cart, and while that is a good one, it does have pneumatic tires that must be inflated, it doesn’t fold as small, and it is a bit heavier. Size and weight make a difference for senior citizens lugging these things in and out of a car trunk!

I recommend the Clicgear 2.0 golf cart

I have owned golf carts of various makes for many years. All seem to fail my expectations in some way. Too heavy, too frail, doesn’t fold up small enough, not stable, etc.
I purchased the Clicgear 2.0 and believe I have finally found a Walking Golf Cart that is superior to anything out there.
You can find it for about the same price as Sun Mountain carts (which are heavy, less-compacting) golf carts. Buy the Clicgear 2.0 and you won’t be disappointed.

Good product. Rolls nice, no tires to inflate, compacts into a small package, and has a cup holder. I think that you pay a price for it folding into such a compact unit. I wish that Clicgear would offer a simular cart at a reduced price that didn’t fold down so small.

This is a quality push cart!

I just unpacked this cart this morning after receiving it 7 days from when I placed the order. My orginal intent was to give this as a Christmas gift to my business partner but I think he’s getting something else. LOL My old Sun Mountain cart is getting handed down to my wife and this will be my new cart. It is built like a tank, light weight, rolls great, and if it wasn’t 29 degrees out I’d go use it right now.
Yes, you should watch the DVD to learn about folding/unfolding the cart and also its not-so-obvious but very nice features. This cart folds down smaller than my old Sun Mountain cart and I’ll never have to worry again about arriving at the course only to find I have a flat tire. Unfolding this cart is very easy but it’s hard to beat the ease of the Sun Mountain cart. I suspect that after a few uses it will be second nature.
If you have any doubt that this is a quality-built item, please be assured that it is. The only thing that I’d like to see changed is the cup holder. It would be nice to have a slightly larger one to handle a larger insulated drink. However it does work fine with a thin neoprene “wet-suit” style drink huggy, which is adequate to keep my Gatorade or Bud Light happy.

I have the kiwi green version and this thing is awesome! As some of the other reviews have posted, learning the proper way to fold it, takes a few tries, but it really goes together quickly. I looked at a lot of other carts, but my buddy and i had a requirement that we can get both our carts and our bags in one trunk. we are able to do that with these carts in a trunk. it’s tight, but it all gets in there. The cart is really effortless to push around and i sometimes pull it as well, it’s very well balanced. i don’t use the drink holder like some others, I mainly drink water and I always have a cap on it, so can’t really tell if that’s a problem or not. I also like that the tires are hard and you don’t have to worry about putting air in them. I did spend a few dollars for some attachments, mainly the plastic wheel cover and the GPS attachment clip. I think both were under $30. I know it’s expensive, but compared to the other versions, really easy to use and very very simple and looks really cool on the course!

Fits into the Porsche Boxster

I have purchased a number of golf pushcarts and a few important criteria for me are: smoothness (easy to push), stability (doesn’t flip over), convenience (has necessary features, brakes, holders, etc.), look (not so dorky), and recently one new criterion has become extremely important: size! I can’t fit any other carts into my Porsche, which has a tiny little trunk in the front. This ClicGear is the only that fits. Plus it works great and looks fantastic!

Expensive but worth it

Easy to fold open and closed, light weight, cool color, had to allign it but that was easy. very stable on the course, would highly recomend. It actually improved my game! NOT! but it does make it a little more enjoyable.

My boyfriend saw it on the big break on the golf channel. He LOVES it! It is better than the pull cart he has,which causes to much muscle fatigue on the golf course, which makes it harder for him to swing. I got this for his birthday and it was really nice. It is really compact and does not take to much space. It is super easy to fold out. It reminds me of a little transformer. It is a great design.

Solid Push Cart

This is a solid push cart. It has been well engineered. I conducted quite a bit of research before purchasing. Thus far the customer reviews that I have read are very accurate.
Moving from worst features to best:
1-The cup holder does in fact spill a full drink quite easily, but it does hold a soda/beer can very securely. Not sure how a styrofoam cup or larger cup would fit.
2-A bit bulkier and heavier than I expected when folded, especially when you try to fit 2 bags in a normal (Camry/Accord) sedan trunk. Still…much smaller than any other push cart.
3- Stands very low to the ground so the handle must be tilted up to acccomodate a 6+ft man. In doing this, the consule will not remain parallel to the ground. Not a big problem, but the scored card is now tilted.
4-Pushed pretty effortlessly and tracked very well. Very stable when you need to lift it over a curb and ride it on just the front wheel.
5-Holds the clubs upright and solidly.

This cart is worth the money

I have had an old pull cart for 13 years that is actually still in great shape, but I decided to splurge and get this cart. After just one round of 18, I could tell the difference! My shoulder and back weren’t as sore from pulling the cart with my arm dragging behind me. This cart pushed easily, the brake was easy to negotiate, and it held my cart bag perfectly. Not only that, but it fits perfectly in my trunk. I have to admit that it takes about 3 times of breaking it down and bringing it back up to get it down pat, but its easy enough…maybe I’m just slow.

Used for 4 rounds and already love the product. It folds small and seems very durable. My only complaint is that the umbrella holder is narrow and my umbrella doesn’t fit…time for a new umbrella since I won’t be getting rid of the cart!

Excellent Quality and Design

I bought this a month ago from my local pro shop, who has always steered me right and again this time. The cart is very-high quality materials and the design is very innovative.
Pros:
-Once you learn the three easy levers to fold/unfold it is ready to go in less than 30 seconds
-Easy to push, large maintenance-free wheels
-the design is very cool. The structure is very solid. At the handle, under the magnetic door holds my cell, balls and keys, etc and on the top, securly holds score card and pencil. Very nice. Drink holder is very convenient.
-very-high quality materials throughout, it is worth every penny.
Cons:
-the way it folds and unfolds you can pinch your fingers. Be careful (if not, it only takes one time to learn
) This is not a big deal
-the way it folds it is always takes about 15″ in height, no matter how you turn it. If you trunk has the vertical room, then you are OK. Mine, it takes just a little arrangement to get it the vertical room it needs in the trunk.
-hate to mention this, but, the drink holder, though very convenient, is far away from the wheels (center of gravity) and the net result of this is that it shakes my beverage just a little too much! I am having to drink a little faster once I pop the top. . . which may be helping my golf game, not sure!
Bottom line: It is well worth it, the quality will last for many years. The convenience is amazing.

much better than my friends bag boy. Great quality, love the umbrella holder. Takes a couple of times to get used to opening and closing. Love how it stores on the garage wall. Would recommend to anyone who walks frequently.

Absolutely Wonderful!

I was impressed by the clicgearusa website presentation of this cart but skeptical. After purchasing one I am happy to say that it has proven my inital skepticism completely unfounded. It literally takes me no more than 5 to 7 seconds to unfold or fold this cart. One note, the very first time you are looking to unfold it (right out of the box) remember to unlock the main folding clip. I forgot about the clip (the very first time) and couldn’t figure out why I was feeling resistance to pulling it open…and then I realized I was retarded and didn’t flip the clip open (even though the instructional manuals tells you to open the clip first).
The cart moves wonderfully across all sorts of terrain, has held my large cart bag, as well as my smaller stand bag. The pedal on my stand bag makes it sit a little odd on the cart but with no issue beyond the way it looks a little to the side. Functions fine, looks off-kilter.
My only issue with the cart is two-fold and related to the beverage holder. One, if you have a beverage that is around half-full or more, you will spill it while pushing this cart (but that is probably the case with most cart beverage holders)…except, there is a tendency for the spillage to end up on your scorecard if you are keeping it in the top holder. This is easily avoidable if you hold your beer (err…I mean soda pop can) in your hand while pushing the cart (which is easily pushed and steered with one hand). The other issue is again, if you have your scorecard kept in the top holder and you have a “soda pop” in the beverage holder, depending on the size of the card, it will interfere a smidge when opening the magnetic lid…very minor issue. However, if they push the handle bar a little further back and place the beverage holder in the center of the bar (like I have seen on other carts) it would eliminate both of the above issues. This might not be an issue with a half-full water bottle but I haven’t used bottles, just cans.
These issues are so minor though that I feel bad it costing the cart a star in my review…but, 5 stars would equal perfect and this cart is NEARLY perfect. If I could, I would have rated it 4.8 stars.
In the spirit of full disclosure: I did NOT purchase this cart from Amazon so I cannot make any representation as to how it arrives from them. I would, however, recommend checking with some of your local “mom & pop” golf shops because I purchased the brand new 2.0 for $180 ($20 less than anywhere else on the web including amazon) from a local small store. Even with the tax that I paid (in NY) it came out to $5 cheaper than online even before you get hit with any tax or shipping fees.
As you can probably tell, I highly recommend this cart…as a matter of fact, a friend of mine bought his at the same time with me and he loves it as well (and disagrees with me on the beverage holder being a legitimate issue) and another friend, after seeing it in action the past two weeks has declared he MUST have one and is going to go buy one in the next week or so.

Wheel broke off

After six months of moderate use, the left wheel broke off while going down a paved cart path. Broken was the black plastic part holding the wheel assembly to the frame as well as the metal axle having sheared right off. No abuse of any kind. This was not a cheap cart. A marshal, who came to the rescue by hauling the useless carcass back to the clubhouse in his electric cart, was amazed, saying he had one himself. The Clicgear cart was very nice while it lasted, but now it’s a piece of worthless junk in my garage. Thanks, Clicgear!
Addendum 9/30/2009: I don’t understand the negative votes for my review. I simply stated the facts of the cart breaking. Do people think I made it up? Are they fanboys who don’t like negative reviews of their favorite possessions? Please comment.

This is the One True Push Cart

This is arguably the Cadillac of non-motorized push carts. I did a lot of internet research on carts: reading of claims, counter-claims, and reviews, and this is the one I decided on. I’m very glad of my decision. I had it out of the box and unfolded in a snap; the folding and unfolding are extremely easy to manage–just make sure you trip the side latch as well as the pull one before you try to open it up, and you’re golden. It fits easily in my trunk, and takes up about the same space as the medium gym bag I carry my shoes and hat in. I took it out for its maiden round on a hilly, winding course while it rained for the first several holes. The cart was a dream to push: almost no rolling resistance at all, even over thick wet grass. It handled easily over cart path curbs, crushed gravel paths, normal fairways–you name it, it handled it just fine. The hand brake is very reliable, allowing me to park on some fairly steep hillsides with confidence. The console isn’t waterproof, but in a light rain it might as well be. I kept three spare balls, my cell phone, and some other odds and ends in mine and everything stayed dry. There is an umbrella holder (for when it’s folded up, for storage) that’s much easier to access than the one on the bag, as well as two towel clips. There is also a small Velcro spot above each towel clip that is perfect for holding your golf glove when you’re not wearing it. My only two nits to pick: the driver and fairway wood(s) extend far enough to interfere with getting to the console easily. I lowered the adjustable handle one click and that improved access tremendously. Also, my golf umbrella has a rubber “pistol grip” that doesn’t fit into the provided tube for mounting it to the cart’s handle. That handle mount would have been very handy yesterday. Oh, well. Just make sure your umbrella has a fairly small-diameter handle. Seriously, if you’re in the market for a well-made and very comfortable-to-use cart, you should spend the money and get one you’re going to love for a long time.

The Ultimate Push Cart

I had a competitor’s push cart before this, but I wanted something that would be a bit more compact when folded–my old cart had a detachable front wheel and, even then, did not fold very compactly. This cart collapses into one nice little square and doesn’t take up near the room my old cart did!
The Clicgear cart rolls well through fairway and rough, and has a nice, wide and stable base. It holds the bag very securely (the bag would often twist to one side on my old cart). The handlebar can be adjusted to a preferred angle and that setting is retained (i.e., you can collapse the cart, and next time you pull it out the handlebar will still be at the angle you set it).
It takes a little practice to learn how to collapse and setup the cart, but after a few tries it becomes second nature. The cart comes with a DVD demonstrating how the cart folds up, but you can also go to Clicgear’s website to see the videos. Clicgear smartly made the levers and tabs needed for this operation a bright red so you won’t miss them.
I highly recommend purchasing the wheel cover as well to keep your trunk/cargo area free of any mud, grass clippings, etc.
My only minor complaints: the beverage holder–it’s fine for most regular size bottles and cups, but it won’t handle a big 1-liter bottle. Also, the handbrake takes a little getting used to; it’s not as intuitive as the pads on my old cart that I could tap on and off with my foot.
With a little bigger beverage holder–and if the cart helped lower my handicap–it’d be perfect! However, as it is it’s still the best push cart out there, and I highly recommend it.

Easy to unfold/fold. It’s the Caddilac of all golf carts. I push/pull with one finger. Brake is awsome. I was always picking my bag and clubs up do to tipping I havent tipped yet with this cart.

Let me start out by writing why I bought a push cart in the first place. I’m a rider and I wanted to play for cheaper rates, carts are so expensive.My theory was that this would pay for itself cart=17.00 per round play 12 rounds and this baby is paid for. I read many reviews and couldn’t find how easy or hard this was to push. Which I really wanted to know because my old 2 wheel pull cart was complete torture to use I would rather walk in agony than to deal with that hunk of junk. Anyways I’m skinny and have no muscle (haha) and this push cart is SICK easy to push. 90% of the time I have one hand in my pocket and ONE finger on the cart. If you are going down a slight incline or a big one just let this bad boy go (I’ve had it up to 10-12 mph myself). Where’s it going to go? it’s certainly not going to flop over or anything it’s way too solid & nice and wide for that not to mention it’s kind of blast to watch your clubs go flying down the fairway. When I go up hills it’s 3 times easier than carrying. This cart is the nicest part of my golf game and certainly looks better than it too. I can’t think of anything I would change for the good on this unit. If your hesitant in purchasing this cart I just don’t see how you would be disappointed, this thing is great. The only thing I would add is a yard counter on one of wheels. So since I was feeling very cool about about my cart I got a GPS unit (igolf neo $137.oo w/shipping). The Clicgear cart comes with a bunch of extras that are included and others that you buy. You have to buy the GPS holder($15.00) but man am I hooked up this cart and a GPS right on the handlebars for very easy viewing. This is the nicest thing I have purchased in a while. I have to say I don’t review many items but felt a need to with this, I hope this helps.
UPDATE 10/20/09
I have now used this cart for a full season and it still works and looks like new. The paint hasn’t faded and the wheels still rule true. I have saved $510.00 on cart fees so it has more than paid for itself. Also everyone I play with (strangers) really like it and ask me a bunch of questions, of course “how much does something like that cost” is one of the first questions they ask. I think because it looks super slick on the course haha.
